Open Plan Scotland would greatly appreciate your support in sharing our survey within your own teams and your wider network.
This survey will allow us to better understand the diverse needs and experiences of those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and study or work in architecture across Scotland. This is important to ensure that we are providing genuine and meaningful advocacy and support for our community. Members of the LGBTQIA+ community come from many backgrounds and all have their own relationship with their identity and its expression, so we encourage you to share this survey so we can reach all members of our community, whether visible, or those often unheard or unable to express their identity freely.
They are also hosting a number of casual meet-ups across Scotland throughout Pride 2023. These events will allow members of the LGBTQIA+ to meet us for an informal catch-up and a coffee, with the opportunity to join us in Pride marches should they wish. We’re very excited to represent the architectural community at these events, and encourage you to share this calendar with your teams and wider network so we can meet more of our community in person!
The survey and our calendar of events can be found on their website, or shared directly with the below links:
If you’ve not already, it would be much appreciated if you could follow our Instagram profile and share the respective posts for both the survey and Pride 2023 events. It is important that we expand the reach of our network, to assist in our efforts to reach members of our community who may need our support, and to promote the visibility and underheard voices of the LGBTQIA+ community in architecture.
