The day is split into a morning and afternoon session, a summary of both sessions and partner input is detailed below.
–
08:30-12:30 Pupil Challenges and Design
Throughout the morning students will work their way round industry partners exploring how they work to ensure that our homes are fit for the future in all, completing challenges that will help them answer the questions proposed in the student information (attached) when designing their home.
Partner Input – To support this session we would be looking for relevant partners to provide pupils with information to help them consider these questions, or support in the delivery of a challenge relating to their field. Partners would then be encouraged to assist pupils if required in the design of their home of the future.
–
13:00-15:00 Design Judging
Pupils will present their ideas to the judges, and they will be scored on how well they have considered each area. Prizes will then be awarded for each category as per judges’ feedback.
Partner Input – sit on a judging panel and engage with pupils as they share their designs.
